Who We Are

1993 the year we met in Chicago

Through The Years

Our Story

It all started unexpectedly and thirty plus years later we find ourselves here.

My name is Marc Gelinas and I am a husband, father, and a knife maker in Albuquerque, NM. Growing up as a child I was always drawing and making arts and crafts. My mother would often tell me that she babysat me with art supplies. I graduated from art school and worked as a graphic designer in Chicago for 15 years. I moved back to Albuquerque where I grew up, and started making knives about 8 years ago. I have been addicted to it ever since. I am completely self taught, and have never stopped learning. I strive to become the best bladesmith that I can be, and my dream is to someday be able to do this full time. As much as I love making knives, I also love sharing my experiences and techniques to help other newer makers. Instead of only posting pictures of finished knives, I try to also share content of the making process, so people can understand the amount of effort that goes into making a functional work of art.
